Just food for thought. Perhaps a barcode system where you can group items together, say I’m going to put 10 items into a physical tote for storage. I could then print one barcode and stick it to the tote with those items in it. Then I could just scan the barcode and see what’s in the tote without having to open the tote.
We plan to create labels for Storage locations (like a shelf or box). In your case that Storage location would be that bag.
