Goku 1999 - Dragonball Z - LE 1200 PCS - SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY SEAN SCHEMMEL!!!
So here is the story and I have the pics and receipts to back this up! When Goku was dropped by EVEND I was one of the first people to even get their hands on one hitting both the diamond level with Evend which got me a free one automatically and for winning one in the wheel spinning chance game basically I spent thousands of dollars to get the 2 Goku’s I have. Immediately I looked up where Sean was going to be at next and turns out he was going to be at Collect-A-Con in Atlanta so I told the wife to hop in the truck we are leaving and drove there. When I got there I had my VIP passes ready to go and was the first person to bring him the pop and he hadn’t even gotten one yet so he was super excited to even see it. He shut down the signing for about 25 minutes to talk to my wife and I and told us that that goku was actually made for him and in honor of him. 1999 the number, was the first year he started voice acting for goku and he told us how he actually auditioned for the role of captain ginyu and wanted that role instead but Chris Sabbat convinced him to take the role LOL! That was also the year he did the Super Saiyan transformation and the iconic SS yell when he transformed against Frieza and everyone was there to watch this iconic moment in anime history as we now know it was. We talked for a while no doubt, then I asked him if we could do something special and this took a lot longer as well since NO OTHER FUNKO has ever and will never be numbered by him due to contract issues BUT… he MADE THEM make an exception on this as a special thank you to me and in honor of the pop, his history of the voice acting, and how emotional this was to him. He has a contract person with him and a funko expert person with him and he called them both over and said they need to find a way to make something special for this funko signing and I spoke up and said i am glad you said that cause i have a special request. I told him that i had never seen a goku pop numbered and signed by him and he told us that he simply wasn’t allowed and the whole story about contracts etc., but then he told his folks that he was doing this and his “Handlers” came back with a stipulation for doing this. For that day only… anyone who brought him a goku 1999 (ONLY THAT DAY MIND YOU) he would number each one starting with mine as “1 of ?” and then the next one would be “2 of ?” because they didn’t know how many would be brought if any and they said that was the only way they could do it but then also said after today he will not ever number any others and this was the only time and day he would ever. I agreed because i mean…WHO WOULDN’T i was about to be the first in history to get a Sean Schemmel NUMBERED autograph pop which has never been done on the rarest of all DBZ pops… Arlia Vegeta isn’t even a LE and tens of thousands were made. This pop will be the rarest and most expensive of them all in 5 years hands down. Anyway…. when everything was said and done and we all agreed on what was going to happen i broke the news and made everyone in the room (including 200 angry people behind me for holding up the line for so long) gasp in unbelief… i whipped out the second one out of my giant pop suitcase filled with grails and let him know that number 1 would stay in my personal collection forever and that I am also going to be the proud owner of number 2 as well. I have video and pics of everything given they let me film it since it was a monumental occasion so I can give you all the pics you want and will attach him signing and pics of my wife and I with him holding both as further proof. I know this is probably going to be the most difficult thing to do but i would like someone to try and put a value on them both as bragging rights for my personal collection as well as in case i want to sell number 2. I had it on ebay for 4.5k but i removed it cause regular versions are climbing that high and I was told at the end of the day via phone call that only 3 were signed and numbered by Sean so ONLY 3 OF THESE ARE IN THE WORLD… 1 OF ? 2 OF ? AND 3 OF ? and that’s it!!! I know im asking a lot but this is super important!!! REMEMBER I HAVE 1 OF ? AND 2 OF ? IN MY COLLECTION SO I NEED BOTH priced and added please since they are one of a kind pieces and only 3 in the world!!
