Making the site easy to list, sell and items sold

Every time I come here to list cars for sale. It takes forever to navigate to where I need to be. Why can’t we have a drop down box for the category we want to sell. Hotwheels, matchbox, Johnny Lightning, Green Machines and so on. Every time I list a car I have to do it the generic link. And when something sells what can’t you just have a button that’s says sold items. It will make it so easy to find. People I know tell me HDB is so complicated to find what they are looking for here. So they suggest another website to try. In just a short time I’ve sold over 200 cars compared to 3 or 4 here. Why?? Please make this a easy-to-use website. I know the days of the toy peddler are gone. But if you would have incorporated some of the features TTP had this would have been a breeze to list and sell die-cast cars. Yeah I’m probably beating a dead horse. Rambling on. But i figure why not give it a shot.

Thanks for sharing the sentiment. We got more than 4,000 model car brands so categories based on those would not work.

For sellers and where we have the model you want to sell there are lots of advantage to list using our database. For example if you have a HW you only have to add this number -

That brings up the model you want to sell. Now all the info like reference number, series, title etc can auto-filled. Members that want this item will get a notification (our members have about 10 million items in their Wish List).

For buyers we created default filters, so if you only want M2 Machines you can click the little pin on the search tag to make it permanent (i.e. until you unpin it by clicking on it again) -

Please give it a try and let me know!

The one thing that TTP had and we do not is speed, is something we want to work on this year (just be able to see results faster).

Ok I’ll give it a try, but I’m an old dog trying to learning a new trick :joy: another question why do I have to log in every time I get on the website?

Hm, not sure re logging in every time, you should still be logged in from the last session. We set a cookie when you log in and I have not heard from others to have that problem. Here are possible reasons why you have that problem:

  • Cookies disabled or cleared: If cookies are blocked, set to “session only,” or automatically cleared on exit (browser setting, privacy tool, or “cleaner” app), the site cannot remember you between visits.

  • Strict privacy/security extensions: Content blockers, anti‑tracking tools, or script/cookie managers can silently delete or block that site’s cookies each time.

  • Browser set to clear data on close: Many browsers have options like “Clear cookies and site data when you close the browser,” which logs you out everywhere on restart.

  • Corrupted browser profile or cache: Occasionally a broken browser profile or corrupted cache prevents cookies and “remember me” settings from sticking.

Sorry that I cannot help more but that seems a local issue (i.e. a problem based on settings on your computer).
